M. Ahmed Daoud Group was established in 1939. It has been growing since then and now is a leading company in manufacturing, importing & markting electric motors,electic pumps,diesel generating sets, low voltage & industrial switchgear equipments, tanks, fire alarm equipments, PABXs & telephone sets, boilers, turbines & water treament plants, foundry equipments and machineries for heavy industries.

Founded at 1945...........
1945	Lying the foundation, Mr. Farid Hassanein Sen. Starts with a small workshop to provide maintenance for diesel engines, pumps and compressors.
1976	The company extends it‘s field of interest to become a leading importer for pumps, diesel engines, couplings and compressors.
1984	The joint venture company established together with ALLWEILER AG is the first pump manufacturer in the Arabic World, producing 15.000 pump units in 2005.
1997	The Egyptian Arab Pump Co. is founded to produce additional types of pumps with the focus on local content in raw material and machining.
2003	AL- FARID for Industrial Development (ALFID) is founded to help companies boost their exports in Egypt by increasing local content.
2004	AL- FARID Group as holding company for all existing and future companies is founded.
2005	Franklin Electric project and service center establishment.
2006	Large project Division been founded and stated its activities in wide range.
2007	Oil & Gas Division started to be operative. Establishment of LEWA EGYPT Pumps S.A.E., a Joint Venture with LEWA GmbH. The main task of this JV is the localization of production steps in Egypt and the implementation of the "Manufactured by others Management" (mOm) concept.
2010	EAP becomes incorporation with M. Ahmed Daoud Group.
